The Civil Defense of the State of São Paulo issued a new cold front alert to August 8-11. According to the forecast, in addition to the drop in temperature some regions will have rain.
The system will advance along the São Paulo coast, bringing rainfall to the coast, capital and metropolitan region, these precipitation may be accompanied by moderate gusts, as well as rays and the possibility of isolated hail.
With the arrival of the front system, temperatures will fall sharply from Saturday (9), especially in the highest regions. Thermometers must record minimum of up to 6 ° C in Serra da Mantiqueira and Vale do Ribeira, and not exceed 13 ° C in much of the state.
Another highlight for the period is the Occurrence of hangovers in the São Paulo coast, driven by the winds associated with the cold front. The Civil Defense guides that small vessels avoid navigating and that the population maintains distance from the breakdown areas during the weekend.
In the northwest of the state, especially in the regions of Araçatuba, Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Presidente Prudente and Barretos, the scenario will be different. With dry weather, with no forecast of rain and relative humidity close to 30%, these locations will be at greater risk for vegetation fires.
The Civil Defense guides that the population should avoid any activity that can cause fire focuses, such as bonfires, balloon release, inadequate disposal of cigarette butts or burning use.
