Former Formula 1 driver Tarso Marques, 49, was arrested at dawn on Sunday (31) in São Paulo for driving a vehicle complaining of misappropriation. He was caught with a Lamborghini Gallardo on the Cidade Jardim Bridge in the West Zone.
According to information released by the Military Police, Tarso circulated with the vehicle without license plate when he was caught by the agents. In addition to the absence of identification, he circulated with judicial restrictions and late licensing since 2013, added with approximately R $ 1.3 thousand reais in IPVA debts and assessments.
After the police asked why the car was not with license plate, Tarsus replied that it was an exposure vehicle. However, the excuse did not stuck and the agents asked the car documents. The former pilot was arrested in the act alongside two women in the vehicle. They were released after document verification.
Tarso Marques was sent to the 14th DP. The vehicle was seized and the former pilot was released after undergoing a custody hearing, paying a bail in the amount of 15 minimum wages (about R $ 22,500), as well as other precautionary measures.
