The vehicle was observed as it left the Italian brand’s facilities in Maranello, and it was tested on Ferrari’s private Fiorano track as part of a benchmarking process-a common practice among car manufacturers for technical and dynamic analysis of competitors.
According to Chinese sources, the approach between Ferrari and Xiaomi can extend beyond a pure evaluation of the SU7. Representatives from the Italian manufacturer must have visited Xiaomi’s head office last year to discuss a possible partnership on the development of high -performance -electric engines. The initiative signals Ferrari’s interest in understanding and possibly integrating advanced solutions developed by the Chinese brand.
Presented in 2024, the Xiaomi su7 ultra impresses with 1,548 hp, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 seconds and a top speed over 320 km/h – all at a lower price than rivals like rivals Tesla Model S Plaid and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.
The rapid adoption and global influence of the model points to a shift in the center of gravity of the automotive industry, where Chinese manufacturers no longer only follow trends, but now also affect iconic western brands.
