United States Attorney General Pam Bondi instructed her team in the Justice Department (DOJ) to investigate accusations that Barack Obama (2009-2017) management would have manufactured information about Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, a scandal that was known as Russiagate.
Fox News first came to the news on Monday (4) and other American press agencies confirmed that Bondi ordered an unidentified federal prosecutor to start a court case.
In July, National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard said Obama government members “manufactured information” that Russia would have interfered in the 2016 presidential election, when Donald Trump beat Democrat Hillary Clinton.
She referred information to the DOJ, who now chose to start criminal investigations.
Last month, Trump accused Obama of “betrayal” and shared on his social network, Truth Social, an artificial intelligence video (AI) with images of former Democratic president being arrested.
At the time, Obama spokesman Patrick Rodenbus countered the accusations in a statement.
“Out of respect for the presidency, our cabinet usually does not dignify with a response to constant nonsense and misinformation that flow from this white house. But these allegations are outrageous enough to deserve a [resposta]. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt to escape the matter, ”said Rodenbus, in reference to the pressure that Trump has been suffering from the Epstein case.
On Monday, Trump shared at Truth Social news about the opening of the investigations by the DOJ and celebrated. “Truth always wins. This is great news. God bless America!” He wrote.
