China has presented a new generation of military drones capable of operating in coordinated and autonomous swarms.

Developed by state norinco, Black Bee models have modular structure and can be adapted to different functions, such as recognition, target designation and attack with real ammunition.

During a CCTV state channel transmission, the drones were shown in action, released simultaneously and equipped with six explosive loads each. They performed a joint attack on simulated targets, demonstrating synchronized operation capacity and without direct intervention. The strategy was highlighted as part of a new era of “intelligent combat units”, which use a large number of vehicles and artificial intelligence to overcome enemy defenses.

According to experts, this advance reflects China’s interest in developing technologies that rivals those of the United States. Not long ago, the Chinese defense industry was also accused of copying solutions from the American Drone V-BAT, developed by Shield AI.
