Brooke continued, “That’s what bothers me the most. And I’m like, we don’t have cancer that runs in our family. It just seems weird.”
Together, Brooke said the lack of autopsy and diagnosis of leukemia struck her as “B.S.”
E! News has reached out to Hulk’s team for comment but has not yet heard back.
The interview with Brooke marks a rare instance in which she’s spoken publicly about her father’s death since it occurred. Previously, an update on how she was faring came through her friend Ashley korawho shared a message on her behalf.
“My dear sweet friend @mizzhogan lost her father today,” Ashley wrote on her July 24 Instagram Story over a black-and-white photo of Brooke and Hulk. “He died knowing what I know, Brooke loved him deeply, was fiercely loyal and only ever wanted him to be peaceful, happy, and surrounded by people who valued him for who he really was.”
