The defense of former President Jair Bolsonaro informed the Supreme Federal Court (STF) that nine lawyers will follow his trial session and seven other defendants of the so-called core 1 coup plot, scheduled to begin next Tuesday (2).
Among the confirmed names are Celso Villardi, Paulo Cunha Bueno and Daniel Tesser, Bolsonaro’s main advocates, as well as other professionals and trainees of the three offices working in the case.
The trial will be led by the first class of the Supreme Court, formed by the rapporteur Alexandre de Moraes and the ministers Flávio Dino, Cristiano Zanin, Cármen Lúcia and Luiz Fux.
In case of conviction, penalties may exceed 30 years in prison. The sessions are scheduled to extend until September 12th.
In addition to Bolsonaro, former ministers Anderson Torres, Augusto Heleno, Braga Netto and Paulo Sérgio Nogueira will also be tried; the former Navy Commander, Almir Garnier; former ABIN director Alexandre Ramagem; and former Bolsonaro orders, Mauro Cid.
