Former President Jair Bolsonaro requested permission from the Supreme Court Minister (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, to leave his residence and perform examinations. According to his lawyers, Bolsonaro has needed medical care since his last hospitalization.
The lawyers also reported that, due to hospitalization, the former president is in drug treatment. According to the results, it may be necessary to perform additional examinations and/or the adoption of new therapeutic measures. The exams are scheduled for August 16 (Saturday), with an estimated permanence on site between six and eight hours.
In addition, the former president’s representatives asked to make four other visits to his home with Rogério Marinho (Senator), Altineu Côrtes (Federal Deputy), Ricardo Augusto Nascimento de Mello Araújo (deputy mayor of the municipality of São Paulo) and Tomé Abduch (deputy in São Paulo).
Last Saturday (8), Moraes authorized Bolsonaro to receive visits from private doctors. In addition, it also allowed family members and political allies to visit, especially to receive their children on Father’s Day.
Since August 4, Bolsonaro has stayed at home after violating previously imposed precautionary measures. Prior to that, he was forced to use electronic anklet due to alleged involvement in the invasions to the Supreme. The defense of the former president has until Wednesday to present his defense about the case.
