From October 1st, new Central Bank rules will come into force to make the use of Pix safer. The decision was published last Thursday (29).
The change is related to the functioning of the special return mechanism. With the new guidelines, people who are victims of fraud, blows or even situations involving coercion will have a simpler and more totally digital process to try to get back the values - without the need to contact the service.
All PIX participating financial banks and financial institutions should provide functionality directly in their applications. According to the Central Bank: “This will increase the likelihood that there are still resources in the fraudster’s account to enable the return to the victim,” on the self -service of the Med that will make the process of fraudulent transaction contestation faster and more efficient.
