Anderson Cooper made a razor-sharp change.
Days after the CNN anchor debuted a beard while on hiatus from the network, Anderson appeared back in front of the camera with a clean-shaved look.
The 58-year-old originally showed off his silver beard in an Aug. 7 Instagram Story, writing alongside the selfie, “Heading back to work soon. Shave or keep?”
As it would appear Anderson—who is dad to kids Wyatt Morgan5, and Sebastian Luke3—went with the formeropting to get rid of his facial hair for the Aug. 12 episode.
And it was likely the right call, considering fans have long been divided on his beard—even when he sported one back in 2019.
“Anderson Cooper really should have shaved,” one user wrote on X at the time. “His Labor Day beard ain’t working.”
Another added“Anderson Cooper has a beard, and just no.”
But his facial hair did have one fan, with one person writing“Pop culture alert! A welcome distraction from real life, Anderson Cooper is growing beard. Hot damn. This is all.”
