US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he positioned two nuclear submarines in “appropriate regions” after provocations of an ally of dictator Vladimir Putin.
The Republican’s response was directed to former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, who currently integrates Kremlin’s management as vice president of the Security Council.

Earlier this week, Medvedev criticized the ultimatum that Trump imposed on Russia to end the invasion in Ukraine and warned that this republican position could lead to direct conflict between the two countries.
“Trump is playing the Ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10 days? He should remember two things. First: Russia is neither Israel nor Iran. And second: each new ultimatum is one step towards the war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country,” wrote former Russian president in X.
Trump gave Putin 10 days to negotiate the end of the war with Ukraine. In another X publication on Friday, the US President said nearly 20,000 Russian military personnel died in the war this month and that the number so far this year reaches 112,500.
“So many unnecessary deaths! Ukraine, however, has also suffered a lot. She has lost approximately 8,000 soldiers since January 1, 2025, and that number does not include the missing,” he added.
