He Starred as Xavier in Wednesday Season 1

Percy portrayed Xavier Thorpe, one of Wednesday Addams’ classmates at Nevermore Academy. Described as a gifted artist with psychic abilities, Xavier could bring his paintings to life—a power that made him both mysterious and intriguing. “Xavier is the son of a famous psychic in the world of Wednesday,” Percy told The Toronto Star. “He comes from a very rich family… He’s kind of a gifted painter, and he himself is psychic… He’s used to people wanting to be his friend. So when he gets rejected by [Wednesday]it piques his interest.” Throughout season 1, Xavier’s connection to Wednesday made him both a romantic interest and a potential suspect in the series’ unfolding mystery.

Allegations

In early 2023, Percy faced online allegations of misconduct that surfaced on social media. While the actor denied the claims and said they were “false and harmful,” the controversy led to speculation about his future on Wednesday. Netflix has not made a public statement regarding his absence, but Percy was ultimately not included in the cast for season 2, and his character, Xavier, was written out of the storyline.

“Somebody I’ve never met started a campaign of misinformation against me online,” Percy wrote on his Instagram Stories in June 2023. “Because of this, my family has been doxxed, and my friends have received death threats.”

“The rumors are false. I can’t accept the portrayal of me as someone bigoted or criminally negligent of people’s safety. These are the kind of baseless, harmful claims that can create mistrust toward victims.”
