The 28th mechanized brigade from Ukraine’s armed forces this week released a startling video showing the destruction of an improvised Russian armored vehicle that the soldiers have dubbed “Monster Tank”.
The vehicle was observed under the defense of a Ukrainian position against a Russian attack that took place the day before.
The Russian armor, described as a “rolling shed”, had a massive construction with reinforced plates and was apparently designed to withstand drone attacks. According to the Ukrainian soldiers, it required about 60 FPV drones (First Person View) to destroy the vehicle due to the extreme difficulty of finding weak points in its structure.
Additional images published by the brigade show the “monster” after it was hit, allowing for a more detailed analysis of the vehicle.

According to the military, in addition to transporting infantry, the vehicle could also have contained electronic warfare systems (EW), which protect other units under advance, as well as a mining cleaning system that is crucial to paving the way for lighter vehicles such as motorcycles and trucks.

The elimination of this type of armor is considered critical by the Ukrainian forces, precisely because of its tactical support function and the ability to open corridors to future attacks.
“In war, creativity knows no boundaries,” the soldiers said, citing the unusual appearance and the complex construction of the improvised Russian vehicle.
