The model is characterized by an innovative combination of an internal combustion engine and nine battery -operated electric motors. Eight of these engines are responsible for the vertical start and landing (VTOL), while an additional electric motor is used for the horizontal flight.

The combustion engine acts as a generator during the flight and loads the batteries in the air so that no floor load is required. This architecture enables the cento to carry out several consecutive flights – with energy that comes completely from the fuel tank.

With a load of up to 45 kg, the Cento freight can automatically load and unload, thanks to a specially developed cargo space. The drone reaches speeds of up to 241 km/h, can rise at a height of 1,500 meters and fly up to 966 km with a single tank filling.

This initiative underlines the commitment of the US air weapon for efficient autonomous solutions to supply remote or difficult to access areas and consolidates the leading position of the USA in modern military logistics technology.
