According to Rostec, the vehicles delivered this time have been modernised based on recent experience in combat, with additional protective equipment and low visibility technology being introduced, reducing visibility from enemy detection systems.
“The current standard BMP-3 is very different from the model that was delivered before the start of special military operations. Over the past three years, dozens of improvements have been made based on military requests and real-life experiences on the battlefield,” Rostec said in an official statement.
Improvements include side shields, protective grilles, upper body defense system, stealth technology, as well as new equipment that improves maneuverability and weapon operational efficiency.
Rostec also explained that it is maintaining a flexible armored vehicle production and modernisation regime, quickly taking requests from field forces, and is also expanding the production of BMP-3s.
