Commissioned as part of a 12-units program, the Tatsuta frigate represents the penultimate ship of the Mogami class, the last being planned for a launch by the end of 2025. The keel was laid on July 3, 2024, and after 12 months of construction, the frigate will increase to the final integration of systems and at sea trials, with a planned commission for 2026.
