The incident concerned a Boeing 737 Max 8 with serial number N801akwho was normally landing when three deer suddenly crossed the runway.

The collision took place around 8 a.m. (local time). According to the first reports, at least two of the three animals did not survive the collision. Despite the shock, the device managed to taxi independently to the passenger terminal.

The airline confirmed that the aircraft suffered damage to the landing gear and was removed from the service for inspection and repair. None of the passengers or crew members were injured.
