In an X post, the administration of US drug repression (DEA) reiterated on Monday (28) the request for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the Venezuelan dictator, Nicolás Maduro, the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, and the Minister of Defense Venezuelan, Vladimir Padrino López, all pointed out as members of the Cartel Cartel group Soles.

The agency also published images of a poster remembering the $ 25 million reward for Maduro.

The United States had offered in 2020, in the first Donald Trump management, a reward of $ 15 million for information that led to Maduro’s arrest and/or conviction, and on January 10 this year, still in the Joe Biden government, increased the offer to $ 25 million.

The initial reward was offered when Maduro was indicted by a New York Federal Court for narcoterrorism accusations, conspiracy to bring cocaine to the United States, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy for possession of machine guns and destructive devices.

On Friday (25), the US Treasury Department had applied sanctions against the Venezuelan Cartel de Los Soles, designated as a global terrorist organization, and appointed Maduro as leader of the criminal group.

Measures of the Treasury Department against members of the Los Soles cartel include blockade of all the goods of those in the United States or in possession or control of Americans; blockade of companies or other organizations that have a 50% or more participation of the targets of the measure; and prohibition of people in the United States or in transit in the US territory to make financial and commercial transactions with those involved.
