The United Kingdom Parliament approved, on Wednesday (2), the ban on the Pro-Palestini group known as Palestine Action, which invaded a UK Military Air Base two weeks ago and damaged two military aircraft from Raf Brize Norton base.
With 382 votes to 26, members of the House of Common English voted in favor of prohibiting the activities of the group based in England, which aims to interrupt the operations of Israeli government supplier gun manufacturers.
At the time, three people were arrested, accused of the acts of vandalism: a 29 -year -old woman and two 36 and 24 -year -old men, arrested in London and Newbury, in Berkshire County in southern England, suspected of committing, preparing and instigating terrorist acts, indicated the source.
According to the American news vehicle CNNAn internal source of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense stated that none of the group Voyagers vandalized by the group carried Israel’s groceries and armaments, nor that aircraft had to be expected to be such a use in the Middle East confrontation.
After passing the Baixa do Parliament Chamber, the project that foresees the banishment of the UK Palestine Action will arrive in the Chamber of Lordes next Thursday. If approved by the so -called “upper timing”, the ban would immediately enter into force and place Palestine Action alongside terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Al Qaeda and the Islamic State.
Earlier this week, Palestine Action announced that it will start a legal process against the British government. Huda Ammori, the organization’s co-founder, said the English Parliament’s decision reflects “many authoritarian regimes around the world who used anti-terrorism to crush dissent.”
If the ban comes into force, those who challenge the ban may face up to 14 years in prison, according to the United Kingdom anti -terrorist police.
