The UN accused the Israeli army on Tuesday (22) to kill more than 1,000 people trying to get food provided by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The statement was made by the organization of the organization’s high commissioner.
GHF began distributing basic baskets on May 26, after more than two months of blockade imposed by Israel to the entrance of any humanitarian aid and despite the alerts about the risk of hunger. The facilities are supported by the United States and the Israeli government.
According to UN data, until July 21, 1,054 deaths were recorded, 766 of them close to the GHF facilities and 288 close to help trains. The information would be passed on by the teams working on site.
The UN and the main humanitarian organizations refuse to work with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), claiming that it meets Israeli military objectives and violates fundamental humanitarian principles.
