The Ukrainian special forces announced on Saturday that they performed an attack on a Russian air base in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh. The statement, released on social networks, informs that a planning pump deposit and a training aircraft have been shot.

“The base houses SU-34, SU-35S and SU-30sm aircraft,” said the Ukrainians, also stating that other aircraft “were probably also hit” without further details. Russia did not comment on the attack.

Kremlin’s response then came, throughout Friday night and Saturday dawn, in an attack where more than 322 drones were used. According to the Ukrainians, 157 drones would have been slaughtered, and 135 were diverted by electronic interference

The new clashes take place amid negotiations for a ceasefire, with attempts to mediate the United States.

For Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, “Once again, Russia shows that it has no intention of ending the war and terror,” in a statement made after last Friday’s attack.

The same line followed by the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sibiga, who said: “Putin is clearly showing his absolute lack of consideration for the United States and anyone who plays the end of the war.”

According to the AFP news agency, Os Russians launched a record number of drones and missiles in June.
