Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet Donald Trump at the White House on Monday (7). The meeting brings hopes for a 60-day ceasefire between Israelis and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
This will be Netanyahu’s third visit since Trump took over the second term. Recent attempts have failed, but now Hamas, which controls what is left of Gaza, is weaker. Among bombing, disease victims and hunger, more than 57,000 Palestinians have already lost their lives.
