Donald Trump has made the extension of the deadline for the entry into force of commercial tariffs imposed by the White House to virtually every country in the world. Previously, the measure would start on Wednesday (09), but was extended to August 1.
The change had already been anticipated by the White House, but the president’s signature was still missing to put it in force. According to Trump’s Executive Order text, the president says he took into account information and recommendations of authorities, as well as data on the progress of negotiations with business partners to extend the dialogue period.
In yet another attempt to press the conclusion of negotiations, Trump sent letters to some countries on Monday informing the new period of charging tariffs.
