The Young & The Restless’ Conner Floyd Speaks Out After Exit

by Marcelo Moreira

The 32-year-old concluded his post, writing for the last time, “Detective Chancellor, over and out.”

Before his untimely death, Chance was among those invited to the French estate of Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), who suspected someone was trying to kill him. After all, Damian Kane (Germaine Rivers) was recently murdered.

When it was revealed that Aristotle Dumas’ assistant Carter (Vincent Stalba) was behind Damian’s murder, Aristotle took Cane’s ex wife Lily Winters (Davetta Sherwood) hostage. Ultimately, Chance, jumping into action, was shot during the altercation.

For Conner, his character’s ending felt like a fitting conclusion.

“As sad as it is, I think that’s how Chance would want to go out,” he told TV insider in an interview published July 28. “That’s his story that he’s always been telling—that he’s a hero—and the ultimate person to put everybody else above himself, so I think it’s a little poetic in a way. And then the way I died in Billy Flynn’s arms is also very poetic.”
