The information was made public by the Latvian Defense Ministry through an official press release.

In this first phase there are over 30 units of the VR Fox, with scheduled deliveries for the beginning of 2027

The total value of the contract has not yet been announced.

Origin of the VR Fox project

The development of the VR Fox began after some tests carried out in February of this year. According to Ali Jansons, owner of VR Cars and creator of the project, the vehicle was born from the analysis of the market and from the design limits of the existing models.

Thanks to the experience in the development and maintenance of racing cars, the VR Cars team has used these skills as a basis to design the first military prototype of the VR Fox, combining performance, resistance and mobility suitable for tactical operations.

The initiative represents an important step towards the technological and operational independence of the Latvian Armed Forces.
