Thai authorities claim that the mines were recently installed on paths that, by mutual agreement, should be safe. They said the explosives were russian and not the type used by the Thai army. Cambodia rejected the allegations as “unfounded accusations”, noting that many mines and other non -detonated explosive artifacts are inheritance of 20th century wars and conflicts.
