International context
The use of motorcycles as operating vehicles is nothing new. In today’s conflicts, as in Ukraine, these machines have proven to be decisive for logistics and attack operations in wooded and mountainous areas. Their speed reduces the risk of being detected by drones and mines, and provides effective maneuverability.
Swedish planners explicitly showed “lessons from modern conflicts”, and emphasized the importance of light and flexible vehicles to support scattered operations and secure survival in disputed environments.
