Russia ignores Trump’s ultimatum and launches new attacks on Ukraine

One day after Donald Trump declares that it will reduce the period of 50 days for Russia to make a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine, the Russians bombed a prison in the Ukrainian city of Bilenke, in the Zaporizehzia border region. About 18 people died, according to Ukrainian newspapers.

At a meeting in Scotland alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Stmermer, Trump announced that he intends to establish “a new deadline for 10 or 12 days from now” so that Vladimir Putin will stop war in Ukraine. Otherwise, sanctions will be imposed on the country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said through his social networks that this new deadline is well-visited. Putin follows without pronouncing. On the other hand, Russian politicians have a different rhetoric. “Trump, do not forget that Russia is not Iran, not Hamas, this is not how you will press us,” said Dmitry Medvedev, vice president of the Russian Security Council.

Even suffering from the West, Russia still maintains its economy. With this, he also chose to look for new commercial markets. India and Brazil are some countries where Russians are doing business and that can suffer from the secondary sanctions imposed by Trump if the ceasefire does not happen within the established period.
