The Rheinmetall Man Military Vehicles (RMMV) has officially revealed its newest tactical vehicle: the TGS-Mil Protected Multipurpose Armored Truck.
The presentation was made through a press release of the company, highlighting the model as a modern and adaptable solution for military operations in various scenarios.
Developed from the TG generation of Military Trucks made in Vienna, TGS-Mil Proteced has a shielded cabin designed for two people and meets NATO current standards. The vehicle is available in 6 × 6 and 8 × 8 settings, offering wide versatility for different applications.
According to RMMV, the modular architecture of the truck allows it to be adapted to multiple missions. Customization possibilities include modification of the protection level, the integration of modern communication systems and the installation of specialized equipment.
The protected TGS-Mil is equipped with a six-cylinder Man D2676 diesel engine, capable of generating up to 382 kW (520 hp) of power and 2,650 nm torque. The engine serves the euro II, V and VIE environmental standards, and is compatible with NATA standard military fuel, the F34.
Based on consecrated civil sector components, the traction system and chassis are designed to facilitate maintenance in different regions of the world, ensuring greater operational availability.
In addition to the presentation of the new model, RMMV also recently announced, on July 5, the signing of a framework contract with the Ministry of Defense of Slovenia. The agreement, lasting 36 months and a total amount of approximately 32 million euros, provides for the acquisition of up to 28 HX2 8 × 8 tactical trucks with armored cabin in different settings.
