The Federal Police launched Operation Underhand on Tuesday, aiming to investigate a criminal organization suspected of diverting public resources through fraud in bidding and contractual proceedings. According to the first information, one of the targets is the deputy Junior Mano (PSB-CE), who had the office in the House and the functional apartment inspected.
15 search and seizure warrants issued by the Federal Supreme Court in the cities of Fortaleza/CE, Brasília/DF, Nova Russas/CE, Eusébio/CE, Canindé/CE and Baixio/CE were served. The investigation was with technical support from the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU).
The blockade of R $ 54.6 million in bank accounts of individuals and legal entities investigated was determined, with the objective of interrupting the movement of values of illicit origin and preserving assets for eventual repair.
The conduct investigated involve crimes of criminal organization, illicit capture of suffrage, money laundering and ideological electoral falsehood.
