Petrobras announced, on Thursday (03), an investment package of more than R $ 33 billion in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Projects focus on the expansion of refining and petrochemical areas.
Of the total announced, R $ 29 billion is the company’s own resources. Another R $ 4 billion is linked to a project from Braskem, a company associated with Petrobras. One of the main highlights is the integration of the Boaventura Complex with the Duque de Caxias refinery, a initiative that should generate about 30,000 jobs.
With investments, Petrobras expects to increase diesel production, aviation kerosene, lubricants and renewable fuels. Braskem will use its resources to expand its polyethylene plant.
