Paulo Rabello: We taxpayers will be harmed, not only by the IOF elevation, but also by the political plane

Amid the intensification of the political crisis with Congress, the Federal Government filed the Federal Supreme Court (STF) against the overthrow of the decree that would raise tax on financial operations (IOF). The action will be filed by the Attorney General of the Union (AGU).

The expectation of the Planalto is that the revocation approved by parliamentarians will be constitutionally contested. Judicializing the issue can further aggravate the crisis between the legislature and the executive.
