Oi announced on Thursday (3) that filed a request for judicial recovery of the subsidiaries network services SA (Serede) and Brazil Telecom Call Center SA at the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice, as part of the measures to relieve pressure in Caixa and comply with their financial obligations.
The telephone company said the decision aims to preserve the continuity of operations and enable the financial reorganization of subsidiaries.
With this, the two subsidiaries began to be part of a broader group without judicial recovery, which brings together Oi Sa, Portugal Telecom International Finance BV and Oi Brasil Holdings Cooperatief UA.
Oi’s judicial recovery plan was approved in May 2024 and provides for a reduction of up to 75% of its financial debt.
