It is a truth universally acknowledged that a new version of Pride and Prejudice calls for a celebration.
Especially as fans were lucky enough to get a look at the upcoming Netflix miniseries based on Jane Austen’s 1813 novel as production gets underway.
In first images the streamer shared from the new series, Emma Corrin and Olivia Colman—who star as Elizabeth Bennet and Mrs. Bennetrespectively—can be seen walking among the greenery in their Regency attire.
The duo are surrounded by the rest of the Bennet sisters: Freya Mavor as Jane, Hopey Parish as Mary, Rhea Norwood as Lydia and Hollie Avery as Kitty.
Missing from the first look was Jack Lowdenwho is set to take on the iconic role of Mr. Darcy.
Joining them for the latest adaptation of the classic Regency novel are Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet, Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham, Fiona Shaw As Lady Catherine de Bourg, Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley and Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins.
