This Monday (21), the Federal Public Prosecution Service (MPF) approved the filing of the case involving former President Jair Bolsonaro about the alleged use of corporate cards during the practice of motorcycles.
Mauro Cid’s report, former president of orders from former President Jair Bolsonaro, points out that public resources were used for the financing of motocytes promoted during his term. In addition, according to Cid, Bolsonaro resorted to the corporate card to cover expenses with transportation, food and accommodation of his safety team.
The 2nd Chamber of Coordination and Review of the MPF decreed, in plenary session, for the approval of the research of the investigation, in the face of the request of the electoral prosecutor, Paulo Binicheski. The decision was formalized by Paulo Queiroz, general deputy prosecutor.
The investigative procedure was established from a representation of parliamentarians against Bolsonaro, which began at the time of the 2022 elections. However, Binicheski understood that this is not a crime, as acts did not characterize public spending.
Initially, the filing request was not approved by the Electoral Court, and was eventually sent to the Federal Prosecutor’s Review Chamber, which filed the case.
