On Wednesday (30), Donald Trump finally included Minister Alexandre de Moraes on the list of authorities sanctioned based on the United States “Magnitsky Law.” The information was officially released by the Treasury Foreign Asset Control Office (OFAC).
American legislation is used to financially punish foreigners considered human or corrupt violators. The sanction foresees the blocking of goods and properties in the United States, as well as prohibits US citizens to carry out any transaction with those affected by the measure indefinitely. Moraes will not even be able to use American flag credit cards, which also reaches transactions in Brazil.
