The mayor removed from Palmas, Eduardo Siqueira Campos (Somos), suffered an acute myocardial infarction in the early hours of Tuesday (8) while being arrested in the headquarters of the General Command of the Military Police of Tocantins.
The politician was rushed to the Palmas General Hospital and underwent a stent -placement catheterization. According to the State Department of Health, the procedure was successful and the patient’s condition is stable.
Eduardo Siqueira Campos was arrested during Operation Sisamnes on June 27. The lawsuit investigates alleged leaks of confidential information on inquiries of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ).
In addition to Siqueira, a lawyer and a civil policeman were also arrested. According to PF, investigated are suspected of using leaked data as a way to protect allies and disrupt police actions.
