A man was mistakenly killed by a military police officer on Friday night (4) in Parelheiros, in the south of São Paulo. The victim, identified as Guilherme Dias Santos Ferreira, was hit in the head by a shot when he left the work.
The military police officer involved in the case said he was returning home when he was approached by armed criminals who approached five motorcycles. According to the agent, the suspects tried to steal his motorcycle, and he reacted shooting. One of the criminals would have left a motorcycle lying on the spot during the escape.
Also according to the statement, seeing Guilherme approaching the abandoned vehicle, the policeman confused him with one of the robbers and fired the fatal shot. Coworkers of the victim stated that Guilherme hit the point around 10:30 pm, about seven minutes before the crime. An employee of the company presented images of the electronic point system that prove the departure time.
The policeman was arrested in the act, but paid bail of $ 6,500 and was released. He will respond in freedom for manslaughter when there is no intention to kill.
