According to Brian McCarthy, Vice President of Mammoth Freighters, the first specimen should enter operation in the summer of 2025. It is expected that all six aircraft ordered by AVIAAM will be delivered by mid -2027, although the current pace suggests a possible delay compared to the original schedule.
Milestone for aviaam
CEO of Aviaam, Tadas Goberis, said:
“This is the first aircraft of this type in the world – a prototype that is an important milestone in the development of our company. We are planning to rebuild several more aircraft soon. This project will strengthen our position in the area of freight leasing because the converted aircraft will allow logistics companies to increase transport capacity.”
The P2F conversion market (Passenger-to-freeighter) for the Boeing 777-300ER is experiencing a boom powered by growing demand for freight aircraft. Boeing estimates that by 2045 the sector will need more than 2,600 new freight aircraft.
