A United States judge denied a request from the Donald Trump management department (DOJ 23) on Wednesday (DOJ) to disclose transcripts of testimonials from the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, rendered to the Federal Court of Southern Florida.
Epstein was found dead in his cell in New York in 2019, when he was awaiting trial for a minor sex trafficking scheme.
In recent days, Trump has been wearing out because his government has confirmed that the financier’s death was a suicide and because he claimed that a list of famous Epstein clients does not exist, contrary to theories of US president’s supporters. Therefore, the DOJ requested that statements to the court were disclosed.
According to information from the Reuters agency, district judge Robin Rosenberg, appointed by former Democratic President Barack Obama, claimed that the DJ’s request to the Florida Federal Court does not fit any exceptions to the rules that require the material to be kept confidential.
The material requested by DOJ refers to federal Epstein investigations carried out in 2005 and 2007. Despite the negative, Trump management has pending pendants to disclose transcripts related to a later accusation against Epstein and his former partner Ghislaine Maxwell.
Trump has complained about supporters of supporters to the way his government deals with the issue and last week said he does not want the support of conservatives who charged him on the subject.
“Let these weak move on and do the work of the Democrats. Don’t even think about talking about our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want your support anymore!” He said on the Truth Social Network.
