Israel’s Armed Forces bombed a hospital in the Gaza Strip on Thursday (10) and killed ten children and six adults, according to local authorities. The attack took place in the city of Deir Al-Balah, in the center of the territory, and further deepened the humanitarian crisis lived by the Palestinians.
Images released by international agencies show the moment when civilians were hit in the streets near the hospital. Family members desperate to see children and adults killed on the floor.
The Israeli government stated that the target of the offensive was a Palestinian militant involved in the October 2023 attack – fuse of the war. Even so, bombing has left dozens of civilians and generated new criticism of the impact of military operation in areas inhabited by innocents.
While the attacks continue, Gaza hospitals try to maintain limited resources. At Al-Shifa Hospital, doctors bring together premature newborns in shared incubators and struggle to keep them alive. The lack of fuel threatens to paralyze energy generators and stop the operation of health facilities.
The World Health Organization (WHO) warns that bombings have reached more than 600 medical facilities since the beginning of the war. In the midst of destruction, health professionals have performed surgeries without electricity and without appropriate equipment.
