About 1.2 million INSS retirees and pensioners who suffered improper discounts will be reimbursed until Thursday (30), according to Social Security Minister Wolney Queiroz. The balance was presented during a meeting of the National Social Security Council held on Tuesday (31).
According to the minister, 1 million payments have already been made. The number of beneficiaries receiving the return should reach 1,238,779 by the end of the month, which represents 91.4% of adhesions to the reimbursement agreement.
According to INSS data, so far 1,354,616 insured have joined the agreement, equivalent to 58% of the apt public. In all, 2,330,094 people communicated to have suffered illegal discounts from retired and pensioners entities and were not reimbursed by the associations, a requirement to participate in the agreement.
Adhesion is free and can be done until November 14.
