The iconic British motorcycle manufacturer BSA is expanding its global portfolio by reviving classic names and introducing promising new models. During the recent Bike Shed Moto Show in London, the brand officially unveiled the brand-new Bantam 350 and also showcased the much-anticipated Scrambler 650.
The highlight of the event was the global debut of the Bantam 350 — a name with historical significance in the motorcycle industry.
Originally produced between 1948 and 1971, the Bantam was known for its lightweight build, ruggedness, and simplicity, making it popular for both civilian and military use.
Now, BSA is reviving that legacy with a modern version based on the Java 42 FJ platform, as both brands are operated by Classic Legends, supported by Mahindra.

The new Bantam 350 has been visually reworked by BSA. The model on display features black paint with silver accents, a teardrop-shaped tank with the Union Jack, redesigned side panels, a new tail light, and a “Three Gun Salute” emblem on the engine casing — emphasizing the brand’s British heritage.
It shares its alloy wheels (18-inch front and 17-inch rear), suspension, and chassis with the Jawa 42 FJ.
Under the tank, the Bantam 350 houses a 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 29 hp and 29 Nm of torquemated to a six-speed transmission. With this setup, the Bantam is expected to become BSA’s most affordable model for international markets, serving as an entry-level offering for Europe.
Also present at the BSA booth was the Scrambler 650, based on the Goldstar 650, with a more adventurous design. Equipped with 19” front and 17” rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR dual-purpose tires, the Scrambler stands out for its longer suspension travel and off-road intent.
Braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc with Brembo calipers and a 255 mm rear disc, both assisted by dual-channel ABS. The bike weighs 218 kg and features a seat height of 820 mm.
The two new BSA motorcycles compete directly in the global market with models from fellow Indian brand Royal Enfield, including the Classic 350, the Hunter 350and the new Scram 650.
