The federal government may call on Tuesday (01) the Federal Supreme Court (STF) against the overthrow of the decree that increased the tax on financial operations (IOF) by the National Congress. The action must be filed by the Attorney General of the Union (AGU).
The Planalto intends to contest the constitutionality of the measure adopted by parliamentarians. However, in the evaluation of some, the judicialization may further aggravate the crisis between government and congress. Minister Alexandre de Moraes will also be the rapporteur of an action of the PSOL that disputes the decision of the National Congress to nullify the decrees of the president.
