We’ll try not to go overboard with the sentiment, but Goldie Hawn hanging out with her grandkids is the sweetest.
Not least because the mother of Oliver Hudson, Kate Hudson and Wyatt Russell appreciates the fact that, when she’s in grandma mode, she’s not required to be The Parent.
“I do love being a grandmother, but I’m not the boss,” the Oscar winner explained on a 2024 episode of Feast‘s Making Space podcast. “I’m just the one that can deliver happiness to them, and also an ear if they need it.”
At the same time, she noted, going from mom to grandma, “I don’t think I’ve changed at all.”
Going by the 79-year-old’s effervescent appearance at the Happy Gilmore 2 premiere alongside son Oliver, his wife REMAND BARLETETTand their sons Wilder17, and Bodhi14, and daughter Rio12, that certainly seems to be the case.
And Goldie—who shares Kate and Oliver with ex-husband Bill Hudson and Wyatt with longtime partner Kurt Russell—is already preparing for the inevitability of having another actor in the family.
