Ferry with 65 people wreck in Indonesia; More than 40 are missing

Vessel sank after leaving East Java. Two deaths have been confirmed, and search operations follow in adverse conditions. Rescue teams look for 43 missing people at the high seas after the wreck of a ferry with 65 people near the island of Bali, Indonesia. The destination was the port of Gilimanuk, in Bali, on a 50 -kilometer trip. According to the National Search and Rescue Agency, the vessel carried 53 passengers, 12 crew and 22 vehicles, including 14 trucks. Two deaths were confirmed. According to police, 20 people were rescued alive, and many were unconscious for spending hours to drift in busy waters. Nine boats, including two tugs and two inflatable boats, participate in the search since Wednesday night. The boats face waves up to 2 meters in the dark. Balsas wrecks are frequent in Indonesia.
