Exclusive information obtained by Radio BandNews FM from Rio de Janeiro points out that Brazilian Juliana Marins died on rescue day. She could not resist, after falling on a trail on Mount Rinjani, a volcano on the island of Lombok, Indonesia.
The report of the first autopsy, made in Indonesia, said that Juliana had died 20 minutes after the fall. However, the completion of the second autopsy, held by the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) of Rio de Janeiro, showed that the publicist died, possibly moments before the rescue team arrived at the scene.
The Brazilian report also confirmed that the cause of death was an internal bleeding caused by polyvisceral lesions and polytrauma, compatible with impact of high kinetic energy. There were also abrasions, infections and blood infiltrations in the young woman’s body.
The IML also stated that the state in which the young woman’s body was found in the Asian country points out that death may have been caused by the last, higher fall, which may have occurred on the last day of search. In addition, the estimate of the exact time of her death was impaired due to body conditions.
The new exam was held at the request of Juliana’s family on July 2. The procedure was done by two Civil Police coroners, also accompanied by a medical expert of the Federal Police and a technical assistant representative of the family.
