Embassy sends the US request from Brazil to exclude aviation and food from tariffs

Government sources say the US Embassy in Brazil sent a country’s request to the White House to exclude 50%airplane and food areas, which is expected to take effect on August 1.

According to the Band, a diplomatic telegram was sent with all the information that US embassy in charge of Gabriel Escobar in recent days in meetings with businessmen, government members and governors.

The contingency plan is already with President Lula. He approved the measures proposed by the four ministries that prepared the planning. But it will only be put into practice if the rate of 50% comes into force.
