The incident took place in Uberlândia, in the state of Minas Gerais, Tuesday morning (22). The woman explained that she was on her way to deliver her children to school when she heard a “strange sound”.
She ignored the sound and continued to drive. Only when she stopped the car did she discover that the fox was stuck in the bumper. After being hit, the fox was towed for many kilometers.
The animal had to be removed from the car with the help of the fire department. The rescue team was very careful during the rescue operation, and the fox was rescued alive.
It was transported to veterinary treatment at the Laboratory for Wild animals (lapas) at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), but did not survive its injuries.
