US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday (12) 30% tariffs to the European Union (EU) and Mexico. The letters sent to their governments were published on the American social networks and indicate that the rates come into force from August 1.
Regarding Mexico, Trump claims that they have been helping to protect the United States border, but “not enough.” Already on the EU, the Republican said that Americans can no longer be deficient in the trade balance with the block.
Trump also says that if there is retaliation and increased tariffs by EU and Mexico, more fees will be charged on the 30% that were announced.
